Our Inserts for metals & castings provide a fast, efficient and reliable way to create a threaded hole in a framework or casting, ready for further assembly options. Also known as self-tapping inserts, parts are simply screwed into a pre-cut hole on the mating material by hand or automatic drivers, and can also be installed using our feeder and insertion equipment, which is most suited to high volume and speed installation requirements. Due to the self-tapping process, you can expect to see high torque values and pull-out loads that are perfect for heavy duty fixing. Most commonly used in the automotive, fabrication and medical sectors. They are available in various thread sizes, hardness, materials and finishes.
